It’s Summer!

It is my first official week of summer vacation (I am a high school librarian) and the kids and I are so excited to have some time to relax and get the house back in order after the craziness of the school year.

Today, I was able to spend the morning with one of my best friends on her birthday.  She wanted to commemorate the day by walking up Mt. Scott.  We met pretty early and started our almost-6 mile trek.

IMG_3676It gets really hot in Oklahoma and we were blessed with an overcast morning.  The scenery was beautiful and the company was sweet.

While I was enjoying some physical activity and friendly chatter, my husband was getting ready for football team camp and my kids tagged along with him.  They are quite at home on the practice field!  Apparently, my youngest spent some time SITTING on the crossbar (no picture) after climbing the goalpost.  He was blowing his whistle and heckling the players.  Haha.  Good thing I wasn’t there.

We don’t have much on the agenda today.  The kids are working on our Summer Bucket List and we have a baseball game later, but, other than that, the day is ours to use as we please.  I’m hoping to catch up on some laundry and some reading.  Happy Tuesday, friends!

A New Journey

I am so excited to begin this new journey!  I have been an avid blog reader for about ten years and have always wanted to start my own.  I began a blog several years back and, with the demands of my full-time job in education and raising three small children, I quit before I got a very good start.

I continued to read blogs and now that it is summer (yahoo!), I feel like I can devote some time and energy to this creative outlet before heading back to school in August.

I am a mother of three, high school educator, and wife to a football coach.

What will you find here?  Probably a lot of iPhone photos.  Ha!  In all seriousness, I hope to write about my faith, adventures in motherhood, and the everyday life of a coaching wife.  I am in no way a fashion blogger, recipe writer, or DIY expert.  My plan is to write an honest account of living this blessed life.  Follow along!
